Land Acknowledgement Workshop

Our neighbors at First Parish Unitarian Universalist, who have done a great deal of work on land acknowledgements, are hosting 2 online workshops on land acknowledgement led by Silvermoon LaRose and Lorén Spears from the Tomaquag Museum. The first took place on Mar. 1, but you can still sign up to attend the second, on Mar. 29.

Mar. 1, Why Land Acknowledgments? Introduces audiences to the Indigenous people whose land we occupy, the history of displacement by the United States, and an introduction to the process of land acknowledgment.
Mar. 29, Creating an Action Plan: As we work together toward creating a First Parish Land Acknowledgment, explore whom we acknowledge, how we can make it more than a performance, the creation of an action plan, and how to use our Land Acknowledgment moving forward.
