August Moon Festival

You’re invited to join the Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIA), organized through the diocese’s office of the Canon for Immigration and Multicultural Ministries, to celebrate the August Moon Festival on Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. via Zoom.

The August Moon Festival is an important traditional harvest festival in China and other Asian countries and celebrates the autumn harvests on the night of the full moon. There will also be a workshop on how to make the traditional Chinese Moon Cakes. Moon Cakes are often gifted to one another during the August Moon Festival to bring prosperity and good luck.

We hope that you can join to celebrate and admire the fullest moon of the year with us! This event is free. To receive the zoom link, register here.
