Saints & Holy Superheroes

On each Thurs. night, 7-8 p.m. from Oct. 15-Nov. 19, a clergy member from our Alewife Deanery will offer a reflection on a saint or “holy superhero” who inspires their own “holy living” in chaotic times, with small group discussion to follow. This will be a chance to learn, grow in faith, encounter new spiritual inspiration or practices, and meet other Episcopalians from across our local region.

The saints presented come from many time periods and different races and genders:

  • Oct. 15: Catherine of Alexandria with Rev. Kate Elledge, Christ Church, Harvard Square
  • Oct. 22: Florence Li Tim-Oi with Rev. Diane Wong, St. John’s, Arlington
  • Oct. 29: Bernard Mizeki with Rev. Derrick Muwina, St. Peter’s, Central Square
  • Nov. 5: Fred Rogers with Rev. Malia Crawford, Our Saviour
  • Nov. 12: James Otis Sargent Huntington, with Rev. Chris Wendell, St. Paul’s, Bedford
  • Nov. 19: Samuel Isaac Joseph Schereschewsky with Rev. Cathy Venkatesh, Co-Convener of the Alewife Deanery

Sessions will be held via Zoom; see the parish announcements for the link.
