Blessing of the Backpacks, Church Tours
September 20: Our 10am service is for all ages, and we will bless the backpacks of learners and educators. Starting at 11:15 we will offer tours of the church and Christian learning rooms.
Class to learn about Christianity (an Episcopal approach)
We’ll offer a class this fall for people who are curious to learn about Christianity. It’s for beginners, and anyone who want to look at faith with fresh eyes. No one will persuade you to believe doctrine. Rather, we invite you to be part of a 3-session group wondering together about ancient stories and spiritual resources as they speak to our modern lives.
Classes will be on Zoom the following Thursdays from 7:30-8:30pm.

Baptism Preparation for Adults this fall
In Godly Play we say, “People can get baptized when they are children, or teenagers, or adults.…”
Several adults will be preparing for baptism this fall. If you are interested, please talk to the rector.

St Francis Weekend: Gospel(-Plus!) Concert and Blessing of the Animals
This year we have a special St. Francis weekend, designed to be fun and welcoming to new folks as well as our long-time members.
On Saturday, October 3 at 4pm, Gospel Soloist Bella Harris is offering a concert at Our Saviour. She has invited musicians of different ages to offer different kinds of inspirational music.
On Sunday, October 4, we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis.
8:30am Toddler Service (this is an allergy-friendly service without pets)
9:30am Giant Puppet Procession down Mass Ave—put on one of our masks or wear a nature-themed old Halloween costume
10:00am Eucharist with the Blessing of the Animals—bring your pet or a photo for a blessing

We will be trying the same schedule again next year:
1st Sunday: Toddler Service at 8:30am
2nd Sundays: Godly Play at 10am, Youth Learning at 11:15
3rd Sunday: Intergenerational Worship at 10am, followed at 11:15 by pizza+games, or Youth Cooking
4th Sunday: Godly Play at 10am, Youth Activity at 11:15
Family Rest Days will generally fall on Public School vacation weekends
