Worship with Your Toddler

On the first Sunday of every month, Church of Our Saviour offers a worship service intentionally designed for babies, toddlers and their families.  We gather in a circle to sing, dance, pray, hear a Bible story, and receive Communion and/or a blessing.  We invite children to bring a can of food to share with the Arlington Food Pantry.  The service begins at 8:30 a.m. and lasts 30 minutes, with time for snacks and socializing afterward.

For more information, contact Rev. Malia Crawford.

Nursery Care for Children Ages 0–3

We invite our youngest children to experience the love of God found in community. Starting Sept. 2013, nursery care is available for children ages 0–3 during our 10 a.m. service. For more information, contact Rev. Malia Crawford.

Sunday School for Children and Youth Ages 3 and Up

To register your child(ren) for Sunday School, please print the registration form.  Return completed forms to the Sunday School Coordinator in person, in the church mailbox, or by mailing in to Church of Our Saviour, 21 Marathon St., Arlington, MA 02474. You can also scan/take a picture of it and email it to the Sunday School Coordinator.
We are happy to get to know you and your child through our Sunday School Program. We have two classrooms. Age 9 is on the cusp of both classes; therefore, the child/family can choose in which class to enroll.

Godly Play, Ages 3–9

Godly Play is a Montessori-inspired approach to Christian formation. It encourages children to nurture their relationship with God by inviting them into stories of faith and providing opportunity for wondering, open-ended conversation, and community building. Classes meet on Sunday mornings during church service (10 a.m., September-June).

The Upper Room, Ages 9 and Up

The Upper Room, our newly designed program for young people aged 9 and older, focuses on learning about and experiencing the liturgy.  Members will learn the how’s and why’s of the service, attend church regularly, and plan and participate in Big Church. We have also reintroduced monthly Fun Friday meetings, where kids can learn a little, discuss anything they want, and eat and hang out together.

Classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m., followed by worship at 10 a.m. In addition, the Upper Room has a monthly dinner and get-together the third Friday evening of the month. There is usually one Sunday per month in which there are no classes, allowing for the family to attend service together and/or tend to family needs. Therefore, please be sure to consult the church calendar to mark when there is class, Big Church (special family/intergenerational worship service), other special events, or no class.

If you have any questions about Sunday School, please contact the Sunday School Coordinator.
