Ash Wednesday Services for the Whole Family

Want your child to experience Lent in a progressive Christian community?

Don’t know how you’ll get to church for Ash Wednesday AND eat dinner?

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Church of Our Saviour offers 2 services tomorrow, with dinner served in between.

At the 5:30 pm intergenerational service, we’ll have Montessori-inspired Godly Play stories and end with Ashes and Communion. This service is geared towards younger children, youth who would like to help, and is meaningful for adults as well.

Around 6:15 pm, we eat dinner together at church. That’s right… you don’t have to cook! We expect to serve cheese lasagna (no meat). Feel free to bring salad, fruit, or drink if you have time to get some and/or put a donation in the basket.

At the 7:30 pm classic service, with Ashes and Communion, the sermon will be based on Isaiah 58:6 — “Is not THIS the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice…” This service is perfect for older youth and adults.
